Captain Billy Romano has been fishing and exploring the Florida Keys for over 20 years. He is a US Coast Guard licensed Master Captain, has worked with many other charters for the past several years and established Something Fishy Charters since 2008. Our Boat is a comfortable and spacious 25’ Renaissance Prowler power catamaran. Powered by twin 140 hp Suzuki outboard engines, capable of speeding to your next location while providing an incredibly smooth ride. Equipped with radar, GPS, sonar, Marine Radio, electric windlass, oversized insulated fish boxes, 45 gallon live well, generous dry storage, front sun/casting deck, and 14 rod holders. We provide all the licenses, equipment, bait, fuel, and cold drinks. All you need to bring is your camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and hat.

Key West has some of the best fishing found anywhere in the world, and our wreck and reef charters offer the best opportunity to experience the best fishing Key West has to offer. It’s a great boat ride for about 10 miles to some of the many wrecks and reefs in the area where you will fish for Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Cobia, Permit, Mackerel, Shark, Barracuda, and a wide variety of other fish. Depending on weather conditions you may also fish in sheltered waters near Mangrove islands for many different species of fish including Tarpon, Grouper, Permit and Mangrove Snapper. It’s a great trip for both experienced or novice fisherman. You can get as involved in hands on fishing as you like or if you feel like it, let us do the work while you sit back and relax.
Explore, Swim, and just RELAX, welcome to the real Florida Keys! For those who want to skip the fishing but still get out on the water and see the unique ecosystem of the Backcountry, join us on a tour of the many uninhabited islands, shallow flats, and deserted beaches. It’s all smooth calm beautiful water in these areas which are protected wildlife preserves and extend from Key West to the Everglades. See turtles, dolphin, eagles, rays, and shark while we wander through narrow channels in between mangrove islands. We will stop and relax at some sandy beaches, have some cold drinks, and enjoy wading or a swim from our easy to use boarding platform.
